HeHealth Student-led Spinoff Project STDetect Took Home TOP PRIZE

What an amazing news! The STDetect team that was mentored by HeHealth's CEO, Dr. Yudara Kularathne, won the Medical Grand Challenge (MGC) 2022.

MGC is Singapore's largest student-led medical innovation competition that was organised by Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS Medicine). Every year, students from different faculties and schools - National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) - will come together to identify and innovate to serve an unmet healthcare need.

Under MGC open category, the aim of the challenge was to explore a specific idea introduced by established startups or medical professionals, and in this case, how can HeHealth be able to further help to tackle unmet healthcare needs?

With guidance from Dr. Yudara, STDetect team was able to propose and start developing additional features for HeHealth. One of such features was to recommend test kits to users, who can purchase test kits anonymously and have them delivered to their homes discreetly. The entire process is coordinated through HeHealth generated QR code, allowing HeHealth to track and keep users' records while ensuring users' privacy and anonymity!

With this proposed new care pathway, HeHealth has the potential to help millions of people around the world!

HeHealth is very proud of the team's accomplishment and looks forward to working together to make the concept a reality.
