HeHealth and CureID USA partner to advance STD, Mpox research and tech adoption

HeHealth has signed a MOU (memorandum of understanding) with CureID group USA (a joint initiative between Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) (implemented through the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences [NCATS]) and CDRC (CURE Drug Repurposing Collaboratory) to work together in STD/STIs (Sexually transmitted diseases/Infections) and Mpox(Monkeypox) related research and adoption of new technologies.

This collaboration will work to find new treatments for STDs and Monkeypox by researching and exploring drugs that have been approved for other “off-label” indications. The goal is to gain a deeper understanding of these diseases, how they can get diagnosed, and potential treatment options by using insights from patients and medical teams.

HeHealth will be bringing new innovative ways to interact with patients in this sensitive disease category and to help patients understand their conditions better, while exploring the potential new treatment and diagnosis pathways.

Early diagnosis will always help patients better manage their conditions by enabling early access to treatments, as well as help societies better manage the STD spread.

About CureID

For many infectious diseases, approved therapies are either absent or unsatisfactory, and healthcare providers may use existing drugs in novel ways for patients with difficult-to-treat infections, as well as for emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, such as monkeypox. CureID platform is a web-based tool, which enables healthcare providers to share their real-world experiences treating patients with repurposed drugs – existing drugs being used in a new way – through a simple online case report form on their smartphone, computer, or mobile device.
